June 4th-Severe Weather Storm
Last Thursday, Oregon was hit by unstable weather. 1 minute it was bright and sunny, the next minute it was so windy it was hard to stand outside. Then a minute after that it was dumping rain with thunder and lightening. We live in a cul-de-sac and the water came so fast and so strong that our street was flooded from half way down the block. The drains just couldn't keep up and then they got clogged by all the debris that was floating in the water. Some funnel clouds were even spotted in the area. Here are some pictures of what our front yard looked like. They are not the best but for you family members out of area, I thought you would find them fascinating.
This is the tree in our front yard. As you can see it looks like someone beat it up. Normally there would be sidewalk about 3 feet in front of it....
These are the city workers trying to figure out what to do about all the water. The worker who is standing in the water is actually on the sidewalk. The other gentleman (the one not wearing orange) is the owner of the red car.
And this is the owner of the red car climbing in his trunk so he can move his car up the street.
This is our neighbor's drive way and the fire hydrant that is in the middle of our houses. You can see where the side walk is kind of. Their house is more towards the middle of the street and by this time the drains started working again because the rain slowed.
This is Jax standing at the end of our driveway. Lucky for us our house is on high ground compared to the road.

Seeing photos of the storm is so much better than just hearing about it. Thanks for sharing!
