Thanksgiving Day!

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated this thing. We have been busy finishing our first term of school since we have been married. Lots of essays and group projects =) need I say more?
So for Thanksgiving, my parents came down to our humble home for dinner. We had Pecan Encrusted Turkey Breast (pictured above, doesn't look like much but it was sooooooooo good!), Green Bean Casserole, Homemade Dinner Rolls, my mom's Cheesey Potatoes (holiday tradition baby!), Deviled Eggs, Pickled Beets, Green Salad, Fruit Salad, and Stuffing. Mom also made homemade cranberry sauce. It was yummy! I think that is about it. Than for dessert we went to a couple of relatives homes in the area. On our way home, we stopped by Red Box and rented GI Joe to watch that night. My parents spent the night so that we could celebrate my birthday the next day. That is for a different post.
My hubby and I decided earlier this year that we wanted to get nice china to have for special dinners (every Sunday and holidays). We also decided that we wanted to go all out and get chargers and everything so that we could teach our future children how to set a formal place setting. When November came around, we had finally found a set we both liked that was pretty inexpensive. Each piece came in sets of 12 for entertaining and we figured that would be a good number since we want to have four kids, which will leave us six settings for company to come over. When Thanksgiving came around we only had the dinner and salad plates. Mom brought us a table cloth to borrow and I had made the centerpiece. Our table looked really nice. Since then we have gotten the soup bowls, new goublets (there is only 5 of the glasses that we were using for Thanksgiving) and the chargers. Now our table really looks like it came out of a magazine!
